Welcome to Wajer. We build luxury yachts and take complete care of them for our owners. Our motto is "Without a worry". We deliver on that promise every single day. We build around 60 yachts a year in series. Our fleet includes the Wajer 38, 44, 55, and our flagship, the Wajer 77. Over 400 people work across our yards in the Netherlands and our international hubs.

Wajer Care is our dedicated service organization. We ensure our owners only have to think about enjoying their time on the water. From our hubs in places like Ibiza, Mallorca, Miami, and Saint-Tropez, a dedicated team handles maintenance and daily operations. We are looking for an intern to join our Experiential Marketing team in Amsterdam. You will help us deliver the ultimate Wajer experience worldwide.

What you will do

As an intern in the Experiential Marketing team, you support a wide variety of tasks. You are part of the Marketing team, but you also assist as a business support intern in our Amsterdam office and Wajer Care hub. This means you help welcome guests and arrange high-end hospitality on location. You ensure every visitor experiences the Wajer standard immediately upon arrival.

Your main focus is supporting the planning and organization of events and partnerships. These events relate directly to sales and brand loyalty. You help the team organize our Welcome Your Wajer events and the exclusive Owners Days. You also provide essential support during major boat shows in the Netherlands, France, Spain, and Monaco. Preparing for these shows requires precise coordination and a sharp eye for detail. You help the team handle on-demand requests from owners. You always work alongside experienced colleagues who guide you. You help maintain close contact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Your playing field

You work primarily from our Sales and Marketing office and Wajer Care hub in Amsterdam. However, your playing field extends far beyond the Dutch borders. Wajer Care operates globally across 9 international locations. We have hubs in the Netherlands, France, Spain, and the United States. Our permanent team consists of 130 to 150 members. During the busy summer season, we scale up with about 80 extra professionals to meet the high demand. We manage over 70 tenders in a B2B setting and service dozens of Wajer 77s on full-year contracts.

You assist on-site during events and boat shows. The environment is highly demanding and fast-paced. You have a natural drive to arrange things perfectly for our owners. You are enthusiastic and proactive. You always look for ways to help the team exceed expectations. Because there is always a lot going on at Wajer, you will assist on multiple projects at the same time. You know how to keep a clear overview and prioritize effectively when deadlines overlap. You present yourself with care and confidence, and you feel comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people. You understand what high-end hospitality entails and act accordingly.

Furthermore, you meet the following criteria. You are currently studying International Business Management, Hotelschool, Hospitality Management, or Leisure and Event Management. You are available for a six-month internship starting in February. Fluency in Dutch is an absolute requirement for this role, as you will communicate extensively with Dutch-speaking stakeholders and owners. Previous experience in the hospitality or events sector is a distinct advantage. It helps you hit the ground running and support the team effectively.
