Electronics Technician

  • Heeg
New Build

Job description

About Us

Wajer Yachts is a Dutch family-owned business with an international presence. Although we are located in various places around the world, our facilities in Heeg and Lemmer (Friesland) are the heart of our company. Here, a team of approximately 300 colleagues works on the development, design, construction, and testing of about 60-70 yachts per year. Our sales and marketing team operates from a beautiful office in Amsterdam. During the summer, our team is expanded with around 80 employees at our international service hubs.

From these international service hubs (including South France, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Miami), we provide our clients with unparalleled service through our Care program. Owning a Wajer means maximum sailing pleasure, “without a worry.” These three simple words form the foundation of our operations. Our services range from cleaning, refueling, stocking refrigerators, and covering the boats to planning sailing trips.

What Will You Do?

In Heeg, we build various types of yachts, including the Wajer 55 and 55s. These yachts are assembled in different stages starting from the hull. We build as many components as possible outside the boat, in the workshop, so that much of the preliminary work is done. As an Electronics Technician, you may work either in pre-assembly or on board the yachts. There are three panels you will work on: the diesel panel, the main panel, and the charging panel. Once the pre-assembly of these panels is completed, they are connected by the team on board.

Your Responsibilities as an Electronics Technician:

  • Installing and connecting electrical systems and/or installations on technical panels or within the yacht.
  • Setting and/or adjusting the parameters related to electronic products.
  • Wiring components and distribution setups.
  • Installing lighting and simple technical components.
  • Keeping track of changes in working drawings and technical schematics.

As an Electronics Technician, you will be part of the New Construction team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in achieving the best possible results together!

Ideally, you have completed an MBO level 3 or 4 education in electrical engineering. We are open to both entry-level and experienced electronics technicians.

What Can You Expect?

You will be part of an ambitious, rapidly growing, and increasingly international organization, all while enjoying the personal and warm atmosphere of a family business.
