Job description

About Us

Wajer Yachts is a proud Dutch family business specializing in luxury yacht building. Our yachts, ranging from 38 to 77 feet, are among the best in the industry. Although we have offices around the world, our locations in Heeg, Heerenveen, and Lemmer (Friesland) are the beating heart of the company. Here, a team of approximately 350 colleagues works on the development, design, construction, and testing of around 60-70 yachts per year. From our international service hubs (including the South of France, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Miami), we offer our customers unparalleled service through our unique Care program. Owning a Wajer means maximum boating pleasure: “Without a worry.” These three simple words form the foundation of our operations.

Are You Our New Foreman Technical Services in Ibiza?

  • Are you the strong personality who can strengthen our team in Ibiza? As the Technical Services Teamlead, you will be the indispensable point of contact for our Captains and yacht owners. You will work closely with our Operations Manager, who is responsible for the 77-foot yachts, ensuring everything runs smoothly. In this challenging role, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities and act as the central figure in our daily operations. Your tasks will include:

  • Managing tasks: You will oversee tasks for the mainland and Ibiza, where our team of nine service engineers carries out the work. You will coordinate repairs, quality checks, and ensure preventive maintenance of our yachts.
  • Leading the Service Engineers: You will guide and supervise the engineers to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. You will ensure that assignments are finished on time and meet the quality standards, while encouraging improvements within the team.
  • Planning and organizing: You will create daily and weekly schedules in consultation with the Service Manager. You will determine the necessary capacity, maintain communication about the progress of service work, and coordinate with local suppliers.
  • Administrative tasks: You will maintain and check worklists, track hours, register in the Wajer app, and prepare inspection reports and other documentation.
  • Collaboration with the Parts Coordinator: You will coordinate with the Parts Coordinator to ensure all necessary parts are available on time for the project.
