Job description

General

Wajer Yachts is a Dutch family-owned business with an international field of activity. Although we are located in different places in the world, our yards in the Netherlands are the beating heart of our company. Here, a team of approximately 300 colleagues works on the development, design, construction and testing of around 60-70 yachts per year. About 80-100 service and refit projects are also being realized here.

From our service hubs (South of France, Ibiza, Mallorca, Miami & The Hamptons) we offer our customers an unparalleled service with our Care program. Being the owner of a Wajer means maximum sailing pleasure, "without a worry". Three simple words that form the foundation of our business. Our technical team ensures that the Wajers are always in good technical condition during the busy sailing season. In addition, our captains & deckhands are responsible for sailing, cleaning, refueling up to the planning of sailing trips.

What are you going to do?

As Lead Business Support you are co-responsible for the ultimate customer experience and high customer satisfaction scores. You coordinate the day-to-day commercial and administrative operations in our fast-growing service hubs in Spain. At the moment there are about 80 yachts in Spain, spread across Ibiza, Mallorca and the mainland.

You are the first point of contact for our customers, local partners and employees of Wajer. This means, you will be the face of our Business Support operations internally and externally. Internally you maintain a lot of contact with different teams (Sales, HR, Finance) and you ensure good mutual coordination. Externally, you actively build client relationships and local partnerships that support our fast-growing activities and the associated organization.

To give some practical examples: you will be in direct contact with future Wajer owners to schedule their next Wajer trip. Also, you will set up and maintain local contacts with the best hotels, restaurants and taxi drivers to make sure you will have the best available options and recommendations when our (charter) customers require them. Besides that, you are co-responsible for our housing facilities and keep in touch with realtors to get the best options available for our expanding staff. You are also responsible for the coordination of and delegation of several tasks to the rest of the Business Support team, such as incoming charter requests, plan and schedule them and make sure the charter agreements are on board.

You will work closely with the Operations and Area Manager (your manager) and support them in their work. It’s a broad role within a highly dynamic work environment. You understand the ins and outs of our organization and leave nothing to chance.

Job requirements

What are your assets?

We are looking for a real multitasker, someone who is structured and organizationally strong. You are highly customer-oriented, detail-oriented, and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm, even during the dynamic peak season.

Additionally:

  • A completed college or university degree in a commercial or hospitality field

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

  • A commitment to this role for the upcoming 3 years is required

  • Strong administrative skills and good financial and commercial insight

  • A great sense of hospitality and customer service

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency English and Dutch. Speaking Spanish is a definite plus!

You will be residing on Ibiza, at least during the period from April to October. In the winter, you can also work from our offices in the Netherlands.

What can you expect?

An ambitious, rapidly growing, and increasingly international organization, all with the personal touch of a family business. Wajer's success is palpable for everyone, and we are a true leader in our industry. You will join a young and professional team that delivers top-notch performance for our customers every day. This results in a highly positive atmosphere within the organization and opportunities to invest in the future and your career. You will have the opportunity for continuous self-development and the freedom to improve processes. Of course, you will also receive excellent employment conditions and housing facilities if you don’t already live in the area.
