Job description
About Wajer
Wajer Yachts is a Dutch family business with an international presence. Although we are located in various parts of the world, our locations in Heeg and Lemmer (Friesland) are the heart of our company. Here, a team of approximately 300 colleagues works on the development, design, construction, and testing of around 60-70 yachts per year. Our sales and marketing team operates from a beautiful office in Amsterdam. During the summer, our team expands with about 80 employees at our international service hubs.
From these international service hubs (including South France, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Miami), we offer our clients unparalleled service through our Care program. Owning a Wajer means maximum boating pleasure, “without a worry.” These three simple words form the foundation of our business operations. We handle everything from cleaning, refueling, stocking refrigerators, and covering the boats to planning sailing trips.
What will you be doing?
In Heeg, we build various types of yachts, including the Wajer 44, 55, and 55s. These yachts are assembled in different phases starting from the polyester hull. We assemble as many components as possible outside the boat, in the workshop, to ensure significant preliminary work is completed. The current team of Assembly Technicians for Yacht Components consists of 16 employees. You, along with your colleagues, will be responsible for assembling exterior components, which are then mounted on the yacht. Each Wajer is unique, making the assembly of components highly varied.
A selection of your tasks:
- Assembling and mounting yacht sections, aft hatches, tender compartments, and hardtops.
- Processing composite materials and performing various sealing tasks, both for sealing and aesthetic finishing.
- Installing light/simple electrical components.
- Measuring and installing wiring, cabling, and/or piping.
- Implementing modifications and updating changes in work drawings and schematics.
As an Assembly Technician for Yacht Components, you will be part of the New Build team. With your craftsmanship, you will play a crucial role in achieving the best possible result together!

What can you expect?
An ambitious, rapidly growing, and increasingly international organization, all with the personal and warm touch of a family business.
